British based musical singer and songwriter Seal was recently given a custom rose gold plated Kalpa Tourbillion thirty second time piece by Michael Parmigaiani of Parmigiani Fleurier SA a leading watch maker from Switzerland.
Seal who is a well known collector of exclusive luxury time pieces sings many international hits such as Love’s Divine, Kiss From A Rose and Who Wants to Live Forever. He recently has won awards from BRIT, MTV and even the Grammy Awards. Seal requested a watch to be designed and manufactured exclusively by the team at Parmigiani Fleurier.
In Seals latest released Album called Commitment there is a music video for the new hit single Secret. The video features Seal in an artistically rendered black and white photo with his wife Heidi Klum who is from Germany. The video also features Seal singing wearing the custom made tour billion watch that Parmigiani Fleurier made exclusively for him.
The watch which is based on the Parmigiani Kalpa XL Tourbillon had a few changes built in that the singer specifically requested from Parmigiani Fleurier. Seal also has a large number of other Parmigiani Fleurier watches in his collection.

SEIKO Opens First Watch Shop in India
Global leader in Luxury watches and time pieces SEIKO opened its first watch shop which they are calling a boutique in Chennia India according to a press release. Speaking at a press conference this Tuesday Tetsuji Ishimaru, President of the India branch of SEIKO watches said impressive growth in premium watch sales in India has pushed SEIKO to start expanding its brick and mortar stores into India. SEIKO Watch India’s stocks are quite impressive as well – between April and September of this year the price of the stocks have grown eighty four percent in value.
The companies Vice President of Sales and Marketing in India, Niladri Mazumder said that the company plans on opening ten or more stores in the next two to three years across India. The company forsees itself as becoming one of the top three brands in the premium segment of watches sold in India within the next three years.
The Chennai Boutique was opened by SEIKO Watches India in partnership with Zimson Times Pvt. Ltd. Who operates twelve additional exclusive and multi brand showrooms in Chennai alone. Watches sold in the new store are available for between Rs. 5,000 and Rs.1,60 lakh.

A Twenty Five Thousand Dollar reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of stolen jewellery stolen from Corvettes at Carlisle in August in Cumberland County, PA in the United States. Anyone with information is asked to call the North Middleton, PA Police department at 717 243 7910. The investigators at North Middleton, PA Police also released a sketch of a bearded male with a black hat and large ears as well as a long dark haired younger woman with a thin build.
Owners of the Jewelers who also own Jewellery by Shirley in Florida, United States told the media that the woman distracted the employees of the luxury jewellery store while the male half removed a bag containing luxury Rolex time pieces, diamond bracelets, ear rings, rings, necklaces and many other forms of luxury watches.
This shows why it is very important to protect the investments that you have made in your luxury time pieces. If thieves can pull this off at luxury jewelers and high end retailers who often have high end security right in their store it means they are willing and much more able to do it small time collectors.
