Former Los Angeles Dodgers Catcher has His Rolex Watch Stolen
Jimmy Campanis the former Los Angeles Dodger who won three World Series rings had his latest ring and a Rolex watch stolen from him. It all happened when he was warming up for a tournament at the Western Hills Golf Course. He placed the ring and his Rolex watch inside a specially made jewelry pouch in his golf bag. While warming up on the golf course’s driving range about ten yards away for just a few minutes someone got into his bag and took the items.
The watch is of particular sentimental value to Campanis who originally gave the watch to his father when they both were awarded the 1981 World Series. The day his father died he took the watch and started wearing it – and has worn it every day from that date. He planned on giving the watch to his son when he passed away. Campanis said he usually keeps the watch on his hand until he tees off, and this time is one of the few times he hasn’t and is upset it got taken.
There were about one hundred forty players at the tournament as well as workers. Police are monitoring local pawn shops and eBay.

First Rolex Tower in the Middle East Unveiled
The First Rolex Tower in the Middle East Has Been Unveiled
On the thirteenth of November Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons announced the inauguration of the Rolex Tower – the first such tower branded by Rolex in the Middle East. The tower although not managed or owned by the watch manufacturer offers luxury apartments in Dubai, and stands at 235 meters high with 59 floors and is set to be completed on schedule at some time later this year. The glass sided structure is located in the heart of Dubai and is the result of fifty years of partnership between Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and Rolex as the watch brands official distributer in India. The structure created by architects Skidmore, Owings and Merril who also designed Londons Canary Wharf features twenty five floors of two and three bedroom apartments, a luxury penthouse and thirty one floors of hight end commercial space right in the Dubai financial district. On the ground floor are high end retail spaces.
“More than half a century of working with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons has confirmed that the Middle East is a key growth destination for the Rolex brand. The Rolex Tower, as the first of its kind in the region, reflects our shared commitment to a lifestyle encompassing precision, elegance and reliability,” Rolex Managing Director Bruno Meier added.

Rolex Watch and Jewellery Theft in Seattle.
A person trusted with taking care of people’s houses has been charged with stealing luxury jewelry and other valuables in the Seattle, WA area. The King County Washing Prosecutors’ Office has stated that 74 year old Vera McCoy stole items including a one thousand five hundred dollar Rolex watch, and a Tiffany & Co ring while working as a maid for her longtime employer of 15 years.
The Bellevue, Washington resident that employed Vera McCoy reported the thefts after she noticed items were missing from her home. According to Bellevue detectives Vera McCoy admitted to the thefts when interviewed by police. While testifying a Bellevue detective told the court “McCoy said she took the jewelry out of (the woman's) safe” and that “McCoy said that she has a gambling problem and she needed money”
According to police reports the combination to the safe was found by Vera McCoy when she was cleaning the
home. She has admitted to stealing from the safe for five years prior to the discovery and arrest. According to the reports the value of everything stolen was three thousand and seventy four dollars.
This is why its important to keep your valuables in a safe and not give out the combination or put it in a place that could be found by people searching your home.
