Global leader in Luxury watches and time pieces SEIKO opened its first watch shop which they are calling a boutique in Chennia India according to a press release. Speaking at a press conference this Tuesday Tetsuji Ishimaru, President of the India branch of SEIKO watches said impressive growth in premium watch sales in India has pushed SEIKO to start expanding its brick and mortar stores into India. SEIKO Watch India’s stocks are quite impressive as well – between April and September of this year the price of the stocks have grown eighty four percent in value.
The companies Vice President of Sales and Marketing in India, Niladri Mazumder said that the company plans on opening ten or more stores in the next two to three years across India. The company forsees itself as becoming one of the top three brands in the premium segment of watches sold in India within the next three years.
The Chennai Boutique was opened by SEIKO Watches India in partnership with Zimson Times Pvt. Ltd. Who operates twelve additional exclusive and multi brand showrooms in Chennai alone. Watches sold in the new store are available for between Rs. 5,000 and Rs.1,60 lakh.

Grand Seiko Watches Will Be Available Worldwide Soon!
Prestigious high end Grand Seiko watches which were previously only
available at retailers in Japan and Hong Kong will soon be available
to luxury watch collector’s worldwide. Grand Seiko which has been in
business for over fifty years will officially be available to the
world this month.
The world has been awaiting this since last march when Seiko announced
the Grand Seiko brand would be available worldwide. At that time
Seiko did not disclose a specific schedule for the start of worldwide
distribution. Just this month it was announced that watch sales of
the Grand Seiko brand will be available later this month in 20 markets
worldwide including Nother America, Europe, Asia, The Middle East and
Oceania.
Grand Seiko watches are hand made in Japan. The watches come in three
different types of movement including Seiko’s patented Spring Drive
Movement. Others are available in quarts and purely mechanical
movements. Most time piece aficionados agree that Seiko’s Grand Seiko
brand is a top quality and highly valuable brand of watches, with some
even saying that Seiko has gold with this watch collection. Grand
Seiko watches will be available in retailers for around $4,000 to
$9000 dollars later this month.
