A brand new range of wrist watches have just hit the market and the response is looking very good. Braun first made similar watches in the seventies and eighties and only made them in small limited numbers of a few thousand of each model, consumers didn't really catch onto them but come the end of the century that had all changed.
Its probably that Braun watches were way ahead of their time, because by 2000 they had become very sought after by watch collectors who loved the simple minimal designs and slender look with basic functions - a Braun watch does exactly what it says on the tin !!
There are no frills with a Braun watch - mostly they are designed in white and black two tone colours, and generally just tell the time, which is 99% of what people want from a wrist watch.

Swatch Zebra Day at Covent Garden London
What a sight, 150 guys and girls all wearing zebra uniforms, this was Swatch Zebra day, an event that took place all over the world in many cities.
Every zebra had a map which showed the location of other animals, a lion, an elephant, a tiger etc, the first zebra to hunt down the other animals could win Swatch animal watches.
I registered for the event, but alas was too late and so couldn't take part, which is a shame as would have liked to get a free watch from the Swatch Animal collection, like the Zebra one !!
It was quite surreal to see 150 zebras rush off in all directions through Covent Garden as the general public looked on in disbelief.

Jorg Gray Watches
For those of you who want to look like the president and are in the UK then you can now buy the same watch that the president wears curtesey of Watches 2u.
Yes, the same watch the Barack Obama wore for his inaugaration and has been snapped wearing at loads of prestigious events like his campaign speeches and rallies.. Sowhat watch is it I hear you cry !!
Its a Jorg Gray JG6500 It has a chronograph, a stainless steel case and a black leather strap. These Jorg Gray Watches are brand new to the UK, and there are loads of different models, although I've got an inkling that its its JG6500 that will be the best selling.

Joy Mclaren to Be Ambassador for Casio Baby G
For those of you who have not heard of Joy Mclaren then join the queue - we don't all have SKY TV and even if we did then we wouldn't all watch Britains Next Model as shown on the Sky Living channel. Joy apparently only came third, but from some reason she has become the new face of Casio Baby G watches.
Typical of reality TV programs, the winners get all the glory for about a month or so and after all the fuss has died down its the also rans who seem to be able to carve out a more long term career, Eg Will Young, Diana vickers, Jade Goodie to mention just a few, and Joy Mclaren getting the Casio gig just strengthens this theory.
So why did Casio choose Joy Mclaren as the new face of Baby G Watches ?
Apparently they thought she was edgy - whatever that means ? and that her edginess shone through.
Only seems like a few months ago that I was writing that Pixie Lott was the new face of Casio Baby G watches, at least I knew who she was, at least she had hit records and was fast becoming an A list celeb which she undoubtedly is today... and not C lister who came third in a little know reality TV show on a channel half of us don't have !
